I wear glasses and without those lenses everything is fuzzy and blurry. Without them I may stumble or drop things. Putting on my glasses…putting on my lenses…allows me to see clearly bringing things into focus. I function so much better when they are on. Using the Bible is the best way to put on God’s lens. It puts everything…and I mean everything, into focus so that we may better understand the God who created us.
God’s World, My Lens

The Basics
Who am I?
First and foremost, I need to tell you I am a child of God.
Funny to think of a woman in her 70s as a child but I guess if you consider God as eternal, my years are just a drop in the bucket to eternity. How do I know I am a child of God?
“Yet to all who did receive Him (Jesus), to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God…” John 1:12
I believe in the Triune God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. I believe because God so loved His creation that the Son, Jesus, came to die an ugly death so that He could take the payment for my sins. (Wow…think about it…the God who created all of the earth, the millions of galaxies…that same God chose to suffer for my sins so I could be with Him in eternity!)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” John 3:16-17
I am also a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, prayer warrior, volunteer, mentor, artist and writer.
BTW, my name is Phyllis Ducey, aka pfd, aka Grammy.
Why a Blog?
I believe God has a purpose for each person in this world. My job has been to seek out what purpose He has for me. For me, it seems to have changed as I hit different stages in life. Though there is one constant which is to bring glory to God. And that brings me to answering the question as to why I am creating this blog…
It is threefold…actually four:
- To Glorify God
- To help you see your identity in God’s eyes (His lens).
- To share with you my journey in understanding the purpose God created me for. And in doing that to help you understand the purpose He has for you.
- The Lord made it clear to me in several different ways that He wanted me to blog. This is my act of obedience to Him. He is in charge of the results. Now, isn’t that an amazing…God takes the weight of whether or not this is a success (in man’s eyes} on His shoulders! Now that’s what I call freedom!
What to expect
Some things I will be focusing on with this blog.
• This is God’s world, and I try to write about His world from my eyes…my lens. I will try to upload an entry weekly.
• You are God’s creation, I hope to help you see how God sees you…through His lens. He created you with a purpose and a plan.
• My blog posts will be random, not any chronological order. I write what the Lord has put on my mind. I have written many devotionals which I will add and once again there will be no specific order. I may even add a winter one in the summer.
• I always include a related Bible verse with every entry. It actually does not matter if you remember what I wrote but it does matter you take to heart God’s Word so that you can see clearly through His lens. Unless otherwise noted Bible verses will be from the NIV – New International Version of the Bible.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
“He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” Luke 11:28
We will work with you to create a personalized plan to help you achieve your financial goals
Please understand that I am just a Child of God working to grow in knowing Him. What I write, I try to keep Biblical but sometimes I use my interpretation. Never take my words as if they are the Bible. Only the Bible is the Bible…God’s love letter and truth to us. Question and search the Bible asking the Lord to give you wisdom to see if I am on track. May God bless His Word to your heart.

“Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds” Deuteronomy 11:18a
Daily Habits to Grow in Christ
I’m going to tell you to read your Bible daily and you are going to say “yeah, yeah, I’ve heard that a trillion times.” But I will continue to say it because it makes a difference. Think about it…the God of the universe, who spoke and created it all, the God who knew you before you entered your mother’s womb…He wrote you a love letter to draw you closer to Him, to show you how to be with Him in eternity. How amazing is that?
If 94-year-old Aunt Ethel was giving you a very large inheritance, and all you had to do was read a letter to accept that money…I think you would do it.
This is what God has done. Written a letter to explain His inheritance to you which is far greater than a million dollars…it is life with Him for eternity.
Yes, I realize His letter is long. If you are not in a daily habit, I suggest you start with the book of John or Ephesians and read few verses a day. That will establish the habit. Maybe do it with your favorite coffee drink…for me it is with a Coke.
2nd Daily Habit…gratefulness. Write down daily in a journal or text a friend something for which you are grateful.
During the day, take time to appreciate all you have. Look at the obvious…thank the Lord for it. I feel incredibly blessed; I have running water. I can shower daily, I could shower 2 or 3 times a day if I so desired.
Water is something to not take for granted. I think most of us (in America) don’t think twice about the access to water we have. But about 2 billion people in our world do not have access to clean, safe drinking water. Be grateful for what you have and pray for those who aren’t as blessed.

Introducing Block Patterns
WordPress block patterns offer a powerful way to create predefined block layouts, enabling users to quickly design pages and posts with a consistent look and feel. These patterns are essentially collections of blocks that are pre-arranged and configured, which you can insert into your posts and pages.
Introducing Block Patterns
Moreover, the WordPress community and theme developers are actively contributing to a growing library of block patterns, making it easier for users to find a pattern that suits their needs. Whether you`re building a landing page, a photo gallery, or a complex layout, there`s likely a block pattern ready to use.
This democratizes design for non-technical users while offering developers a way to extend WordPress functionality and provide more options to their clients.
